What's On at Fort Nelson this October half term

Spooky Halloween-themed activities including face-painting, crafts and storytelling sessions to keep the kids out of mischief.

Free trail: Available every day Saturday 25 October - Sunday 2 November

Halloween activities: Monday 27 October - Friday 31October only

Museum and collection visits

The museum galleries will be open as usual for general visitors. Please book on this page for this week.

Fort Nelson is the home of the big guns of the Royal Armouries national collection of artillery.

This fully restored Victorian fort is a great place to explore, with high ramparts and panoramic views, underground tunnels and a whole museum of national treasures to discover.

Admission is FREE

Opening times: 10:00 - 17:00Open daily during school holidays and bank holidays.

Choose your arrival time from the following timeslots:

10:00 – 11:00 / 11:00 – 12:00 / 12:00 – 13:00 / 13:00 – 14:00 / 14:00 – 15:00 / 15:00 – 16:00 / 16:00 - 17:00

You can stay as long as you wish.

Please book a free visitor ticket for everyone in your party. Parking: £3 per car - pay on arrival.

Our visitor capacity is currently restricted due to the number of car parking spaces available.
